UMBRA SUMUS

Ancients of Days

So, whatever became of old what-was-their-name…?

I mentioned that old Gin Lane characters could have a place as a background character in Umbra Sumus. That can be Where are they now piece, from a simple sentence to the full Foppingham, perhaps even an obituary or final speech at Tyburn; filling in a little of the history between then and now.

Characters not memorialised will be assumed to have disappeared unremarked into the mists of history; they won’t be resurrected as GM catspaws, but can be rescued from oblivion by the dash of their creator’s pen.

If you would like your Gin Lane character to have a slightly more active, though NPC, part in Umbra Sumus as a background contact – perhaps a person of influence and favours and deals, or a named business such as the benEzra & Nephews mentioned fancifully in the Introduction – get in touch and we can sort out the details.

(There will be a page on the standard NPC favours along in a while, though I expect former characters will be a bit outside the mode for such people.)

Points Mean Prizes

A ‘whatever happened to…’ piece is worth a character point for your Umbra Sumus persona, should you have one, and an NPC presence gets another.

And what prizes do such points mean? That will be another page, Gentlefolk.
